Synthetic Content & Provenance
This pack contains 18 working-draft legal documents. None of them have been reviewed by Texas counsel or counsel licensed in any other jurisdiction. They are a starting point for a real attorney engagement, not a finished publication. Brackets [highlight] indicate custom options to finalize.
SiteFlows trades on the integrity of Proof of Work. This statement defines what synthetic content is, where it is allowed, and how we keep it out of the parts of the Service where it would damage trust.
1. Definitions
- SYNTHETIC CONTENT
- Content (image, audio, video, text) that is generated, edited, or substantially altered by an AI model.
- AUTHENTIC PROOF OF WORK
- A photo or other artifact captured at the job site at the time the Job was performed, with a SiteFlows GPS+timestamp watermark applied at the moment of capture.
- PROVENANCE
- A verifiable record of how a piece of content was created, edited, and transmitted.
2. Where Synthetic Content Is Prohibited
Proof of Work submissions must be authentic. Workers may not submit AI-generated, AI-altered, or recycled photos as Proof of Work. Detected violations result in:
- Photo rejection and Proof-of-Work resubmission required;
- Notification to Operator and Worker;
- Repeated violations: account suspension or termination under the AUP.
3. Where AI-Generated Output Is Visible to Users
The Service uses AI-generated text in two visible places:
- Dispute summaries — labeled "AI summary · review required" and editable by the Operator before being saved as the resolution rationale;
- Pay-rule recommendations — labeled "AI suggestion · approval required" and inactive until the Operator approves.
Both are clearly marked as AI-generated.
4. Provenance & Watermarking
Every photo captured through the SiteFlows Worker App carries an immutable GPS + timestamp watermark applied at the moment of capture. The watermark includes:
- GPS coordinates of capture (precision tier configurable, default city-block-level);
- Capture timestamp (UTC and local);
- SiteFlows session identifier;
- Device cryptographic signature.
Photos uploaded through means other than the in-app camera (e.g., re-uploaded from gallery) are flagged as "unverified provenance" and may not satisfy Proof-of-Work requirements at the Operator's discretion.
5. C2PA & Industry Standards
SiteFlows monitors the C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) standard and intends to adopt C2PA manifest signing for Proof-of-Work photos as the standard matures.

The Service uses AI-assisted detection (see AI Disclosure) to flag photos that may be synthetic, mis-located, or recycled. Detection is probabilistic; final decision rests with the Operator. False positives may occur and can be appealed via disputes@siteflows.ai.
7. User Obligations
By using the Service, Workers agree:
- not to submit AI-generated or substantially AI-altered photos as Proof of Work;
- not to use external apps to alter timestamps, GPS data, or photo metadata;
- not to recycle photos from prior jobs as Proof of Work for new jobs;
- to use the in-app camera for all Proof-of-Work submissions where available.
